Massimiliano Pescarolo

Photographer

I have always conceived of photography as a tool capable of bearing witness, of highlighting and telling stories.
And from these stories to be able to draw a lesson

Massimiliano Pescarolo is a photographer born in 1973. In 1999 came his first work with a reporter friend, thanks to a stay in Benin and Togo as a guest of the Comboni Fathers. It is precisely this journey that opens his eyes to what is worth capturing and documenting. Following that touching experience of life and humanity, the choice of new journeys is linked to the search for stories to tell. He undertook numerous trips to Africa, the Maghreb, the Middle East and Central America on behalf of NGOs and non-profit organisations.

Some of his photos have been published by La Repubblica, Il Giornale, InsideOver, Witness Journal, Private Magazine, L’Avvenire, L’Azione, L’Informatore, Il Corriere di Novara and were part of an exhibition at the Italian Centre for Fine Art Photography and at the African Studies Centre of the University of Turin. He was also a finalist at the Lodi Ethical Photography Festival in 2019.

Got a story to tell?

One of those ordinary stories, of life, of places, of people, that linked together can give insight into the extraordinary world in which we live.
