His photographs have appeared in national and international publications.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of his images of Hollywood Boulevard from the 1970s are represented in the permanent collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the New York Public Library.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four books of his photographs have been published: <em>Art Deco LA<\/em> (1978, Harper &amp; Row), <em>Movie Palaces: Los Angeles<\/em> (2000, Clarkson Potter) and <em>Bijou<\/em> (2016, Nazraeli Press).<br\/><em>Star Struck<\/em> (Deadbeat Club Press, 2022), his first monograph, features photographs taken on Hollywood Boulevard in the 1970s.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ave is also a Professor Emeritus at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, CA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":375376,"template":"","_doog-position":[1017],"class_list":["post-375377","contributors","type-contributors","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","_doog-position-author"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/doogreporter.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/contributors\/375377","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/doogreporter.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/contributors"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/doogreporter.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/contributors"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/doogreporter.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/375376"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/doogreporter.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=375377"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"_doog-position","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/doogreporter.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/_doog-position?post=375377"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
